Singing for the Brain – Friday 15 September

In partnership with the local Alzheimer’s Society, Alexandra Palace will be hosting Singing for the Brain, bringing together people with dementia and their carers. They are inviting school choirs,bands and orchestras to perform songs inspired by our musical heritage. Schools which take part in the launch will also have the opportunity to be part of the regular weekly sessions for inter-generational jamming and free dementia training delivered by the Alzheimer’s Society.

World Television Day – Friday 21 November

Celebrate television's role in providing unbiased information about important issues and events that affect society in our one-day conference 'Fake news – what is it and how do we tackle it?' Leading academics and journalists will speak about how news has developed since it was first broadcast from the Palace in 1954 into the fast moving medium we know today. Tickets are £4 per pupil.
