BAFTA Kids Big Schools Day takes place at Alexandra Palace on 20 June. Attended by 1,000 local children in years 5 and 6, the event will showcase careers within television production.
Hosted by Ben Shires (Officially Amazing) and Lyndsey Russell (Blue Peter), pupils will use well-known children’s television programmes to go behind the scenes to think about prop making, script writing, animation and character design. BAFTA Award winning composers will use the Palace’s iconic Henry Willis Organ to demonstrate the importance of theme tunes, and how music can be used to heighten tension or change the feel of a scene.
If you are interested in attending this event with a group of pupils, the cost per pupil is £2.50 and there are still a few places left. Contact Isobel Aptaker, learning manager on 020 8365 4578
