Outstanding for All Awards 2018 success at Alexandra Palace

Haringey’s annual Outstanding for All Awards evening took place on Monday 26 November at Alexandra Palace.This amazing event was organised by Haringey Council’s Communications team in conjunction with the Children and Young People’s service and is now in its sixth year.

The evening celebrated the outstanding achievements of students, teachers, staff, governors and everyone whose phenomenal efforts have helped make education in Haringey top class.

TV presenter and producer Jacqueline (Jaxx) Shepherd hosted the evening. Jacqueline is best known as the host of Sky One Saturday morning magazine television show What’s Up TV.  A range of guests presented awards in 12 categories. Presenters included Cllr Joseph Ejiofor, the Leader of Haringey Council and Cllr Gina Adamou, the Worshipful Mayor of Haringey. Special guest goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga from Tottenham Hotspur FC presented the Achievement in Sports Award.

The evening also show-cased the talent of dancers and performers from Haringey Young Musicians, organised by Peter Desmond, head of Haringey Music Service, and also included videos of some of the nominees and their nominators.

The winners

Teacher of the Year Award – Jo Vosku, Heartlands High School

Early Years Champion Award – Woodside Children’s Centre

Support Staff of the Year Award – John Sukhedo, Highgate Primary School

Community Hero Award – Kezhe Julian-Temir, Fortismere School

STEM Achievement Secondary Award – Greig City Academy Robotics

STEM Achievement Primary Award – Pembury House Nursery School

Achievement in the Arts Award – Joel Ajagun, St Paul’s and All Hallows’ CofE School

Achievement in Sports Award – Haringey Schools Cycling League

Apprentice of the Year Award – Michael Oskys, Haringey Council Transport Team (CONEL)

Overcoming Adversity Award – Eraycem Agpur, Ada College for Digital Skills

Governor of the Year Award – Joye Manyan, Greig City Academy

Councillor Egan Achievement Award, Juliet Coley, Gladesmore Community School
