Rokesly's 'Masked Crusaders' in anti-idling protest

In November both the Juniors and Infants at Rokesly schools were involved in the ‘Masked Crusaders’ campaign to tackle car idling and reduce harmful pollution around the school.
Some Rokesly parents worked with London Sustainable Schools and Haringey Council to build a campaign to encourage car users to turn their engines off rather than letting idling engines pollute the air outside the school.
The children used their fun ‘anti-pollution masks’ made out of recycled materials to transform into ‘Masked Crusaders’ against engine idling, along with children in other schools across London.

The story gained great media coverage in the Metro and the Ham and High.
