STARS
Everyone should be completing the Hands up survey now. You can get STARS support to make sure you will be accredited. Email Wendy Thorogood with a suitable time for a two-hour appointment; we can get most of it completed in this time.
If you are not sure if you have an accreditation, look at our Wall of Fame poster. Walking Wall of Fame
Junior Citizens
To all the schools who were successful in securing their year 6 spaces at the Junior Citizens, please make sure it is in your school outing diary. We had a few no shows last year and as you can appreciate, these are valuable lessons. We are aiming at nearly 1,400 students this year and there are many disappointed schools.
Cycle training and cycle around the borough
Cycle Confident, our new provider has now started working with Haringey. You can contact them here (external link).
You can book your school lessons or parent, carer and teacher lessons too. Cycle Confident will be calling your school soon to see who wants to be involved in our cycle around the borough in June 2018.
Weekend of Play
Don’t forget to advertise the Weekend of Play. If you are not taking part, the legacy of this second Weeken of Play is to make sure that we all recognise the importance of playing outside, both for the benfits of exercise and as a way to improve communities.
For further information about all of these activities, please contact Wendy Thorogood and the Smarter Travel Team on 020 8489 5351.
