Exposure, north London’s award winning youth communications charity, is proud to announce an appetising partnership with Haringey Youth Council (with support from Haringey Council) to promote Saucy Sandwich Snaps, a tasty campaign and competition that encourages young people to eat more healthily.
Young people from Haringey Schools and youth groups are invited to participate in the competition, which can be entered as a whole class, small group or individual. The competition involves creating a healthy appetising sandwich, which is photographed and submitted to Exposure along with how the key ingredients contribute to a healthy diet. Information and instructions on how to take part can be found here (external link). The closing date for entries is Friday 6 December 2018.
The concept was created at the #FixUp_LookSharp event hosted earlier this year, where young people were able to come up with creative ideas to tackle teen obesity in the borough. Saucy Sandwich Snaps was the winning idea, and is a great initiative to get young people thinking about what makes a healthy balanced diet.
Exposure will be contacting schools and youth groups to encourage young people to participate.
