The School premises management handbook gives an overview of school premises management and has been created by the Corporate Landlord team at Haringey Council specifically for Haringey schools.
The handbook covers the roles and responsibilities of both the schools and the council, safety and compliance, funding, expenditure and the processes to follow from start to finish to ensure the best outcome for everyone. It includes an annex of additional resources which should be helpful for anyone managing school premises.
The Corporate Landlord team works collaboratively with schools to ensure buildings and their systems are maintained and fit for purpose. Together with the Head, school site managers and business managers, the team is responsible for the upkeep of Haringey maintained schools.
The team is made up of a wide range of expert professionals including building surveyors, statutory compliance and fire safety officers, mechanical and electrical surveyors and inspectors and project managers. The Corporate Landlord team is here to support and guide school communities through the process of managing school premises effectively.
