Last year the Public Health team held The Spring Stride competition for the first time, and it was a big success. This year it will take place from Monday 9 to Friday 27 May.
Participating primary schools will compete to do three weeks of physical activity. Your school will be scored on how frequently pupils participate in physical activity and the variety of activity that they do. Daily physical activity could be The Daily Mile, sports, games, yoga, dance, or anything that gets you moving.
To help schools to engage with the competition, there are a few things on offer: Half-day sports session with the Tottenham Hotspur Premier League Primary Stars team (sessions are limited), exclusive access to Fitt-in online exercise platform for the competition period, Park Xplorer Challenge (locations tbc), Walk to School Week (17-21 May) resources, Move More Taster Sessions for parents, and classroom worksheets.
Prizes offered:
- 1st place – ScootFit Scooter Experience Day
- 2nd place – £500 Amazon Voucher & a whole-school activity day delivered by the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation
- 3rd place – £200 Amazon Voucher
