Preparations are currently under way for October’s Black History Month celebrations. This year’s programme promises an impressive line-up, with a variety of activities and events designed to celebrate the achievements and contributions of black people in the UK. As part of the plans, Haringey Council is calling on support from schools to help promote the event. We are asking for schools to help us record short video clips of their pupils saying why Black History Month is important and what it means to them. This is an exciting project – we want to get children and young people excited about Black History Month!
