Outstanding for All Awards 2018 – nominations are now open!

Do you know an inspirational teacher, student, governor or member of school support staff?

Nominations are now open for the sixth annual Outstanding for All awards. The awards celebrate the fantastic achievements of the teachers, students, staff and governors whose phenomenal efforts have helped make education in Haringey top class.

With the summer holidays fast approaching, we would love it if you could think of someone who has made a difference over the past school year (or longer) – whether that is an extra special achievement, overcoming adversity, or going that extra mile.

There are a range of categories, from Teacher of the Year and community hero, to Early Years Champion and Achievement in STEM.

You can see the full  list of categories here and watch a video of last year’s nominees.

We will invite everyone who is nominated to a celebratory awards ceremony later this year, which will focus on a myriad of fantastic things happening in our schools. Watch this space for news about the venue – we are working on something extra special this year!

We will be publicising this event at the start of the autumn term and there will be further opportunities to nominate, but this gives you an opportunity for an early nomination over the summer.

The 12 categories up for grabs:

  • Support Staff of the Year Award
  • Achievement in Arts Award
  • Achievement in Sport Award
  • Early Years Champion Award
  • Governor of the Year Award
  • Teacher of the Year Award
  • Outstanding STEM Achievement Award – Primary
  • Outstanding STEM Achievement Award – Secondary
  • Overcoming Adversity Award

Outstanding for All Awards – invitations and tickets

The event on 5 December is only a few weeks away! See the Oustanding for All Awards page for news on the nominees.

Invitations were emailed to all schools on 2 November with an RSVP deadline of 18 November. Please make sure you have received the email (check your junk folder) and confirmed you’re attendance by registering for school tickets.

On school tickets, please ensure you have inserted the names for each ticket as this will be necessary for registrations at the door. For example, do not put the school name or one name (the person ordering) for all tickets.

Please note, due to limited space, we can only allocate specific number of tickets. It’s important that the right numbers of tickets are registered to avoid over-booking.

Below is a summary of the permitted number of tickets.

  • Schools (schools, nurseries, children centres) – only two tickets
  • Guests for child nominees – maximum two tickets
  • Guest for adult nominees – maximum one ticket
  • Class/Group nominee – maximum 8 tickets

We are delighted that the Music Teacher of the Year award will now be included in the annual Outstanding for All Awards ceremony held at Alexandra Palace.

The prestigious Haringey Music Teacher of the Year award was initially awarded to Tyrone Lowe, Gladesmore School, for 2014 and then to Chris Storey, legendary steel pan tutor, for 2015.
