Devonshire Hill’s Disney musical delight
Devonshire Hill Primary School is one of four London primary schools to be shortlisted and successfully accepted for three-year music and performing arts programme, Disney Musicals in Schools.

This unique opportunity is aimed at embedding the art of musical theatre in primary education while developing collaboration amongst pupils, teachers, parents, governors and the wider community.
As well as strengthening skills in acting, singing, dancing, creating props and other backstage skills, children will develop confidence, enhance their speaking and listening and will learn how to collaborate with their peers.
Rehearsals will run over 17-weeks and will culminate in a performance of a Disney KIDS production both in school and in a special showcase performance on a West End stage in March 2022.
Teacher Ms Georgiades says
“ This is the perfect opportunity for children in our local community to experience the wonders of London and express themselves on a grand stage, especially after the challenges faced by schools in 2020. The staff and children are really excited to take part in this amazing project and are looking forward to continuing this in future years”.
The school has appointed a dedicated team which will work closely with the Disney professionals. Disney Musicals in Schools is now in its fifth year in London.
