Go Ape – Adventure Stories Competition 2020

Go Ape has launched its 2020 Adventure Stories Competition, to encourage young children to get creative and explore adventure both in and out of the classroom. Go Ape is inviting children aged 4 to 12 to submit a short story (100-500 words) or A4 drawing about an amazing adventure they have been on or imagined.Entrants are encouraged to let their imaginations run wild and adventures in previous years included a trip to an alien-infested planet, getting lost in a faraway forest and uncovering treasure and dinosaur bones on a beautiful beach.

Georgina Cox, corporate and school marketing executive at Go Ape, says:

“Our Adventure Stories competition is designed to encourage young school children to explore adventure in a creative and educational way.”

With a closing date of Thursday 2 April, the competition is split into two age categories (4-7 and 8-12), with a winner from each. The two lucky winners will each win prizes including a fun-filled class trip to Go Ape (including the cost of a coach), a collection of books worth £150 from Scholastic Book Fairs and a Micro Scooter from Micro-Scooters UK.

Georgina adds:

“Every year we are blown away by the amazing standard of entries we receive, which all brilliantly convey the children’s real and imagined adventures. We can’t wait to see this year’s entries and we’d like to urge teachers and parents to encourage their pupils or children to enter the competition to be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes for them and their class.”
