Haringey Sixth Form College is delighted to announce the appointment of Haringey Hawkes Basketball Coach, Franck Batimba as Head Coach of the Basketball Academy and Academic Support Mentor, ahead of the 2018 – 19 academic year.
Franck is the Head Coach of recently crowned National Champions, Haringey Hawkes. He led the Under 16 squad to the National Championships, winning the competition beating Manchester Magic 71-55 in the play-off finals at the beginning of May.
Franck commented ”We have boys from all across Haringey who have worked so hard and deserved to win. To become National Champions is a remarkable achievement. I hope this will help to inspire many young people in the community.”
“I look forward to joining this amazing college. A number of players from the under 16 team are enrolling at the college. I want them to benefit from the great education as well as me coaching them at an Elite Level. I love to empower young people and I am confident I will be able to do just that at Haringey Sixth Form College.”
