Urgent: last call offering assistance for travel plans
Every school that had accreditation last year or wants to be counted this year needs to log on to the STARS website (external link) urgently and check they have completed their activities and most importantly, completed the hands up survey for the whole school. This is the basic requirement for all schools to receive accreditation. Even if you are already Gold, we still need to know how your families are coming to school.
Issues: If you have any road safety issues or problems this is where we get the information from to make decisions on funding schemes so make sure you list these in the issues section.
Nb Lordship Lane Primary, Coldfall and Riverside have benefited from improved road safety features outside their schools through being involved with the school travel plan. In addition, Lordship Lane Primary, Welbourne and Holy Trinity will benefit from a STARS travel plan too, to improve the air quality at their school.

Year 6 transition to secondary school
Did you receive Moving Up magazine, together with the competition? Have you given it to your year 6 teachers? Please make sure that your pupils are entering the competition. By using this resource, you can achieve four activities towards your accreditation. Copies are here but please ask Wendy if yours have gone missing.
Cycle training plus….
Bike Markets are doing well in the schools that have requested them, encouraging a recycling of peoples outgrown bikes and helping families buy a different bike to fit them or their child.
