What is Outside the Box?
Outside the Box is a personal development programme for vulnerable young people, to support them with healthy relationship and sexual health . The programme comprises eight interactive workshop sessions, delivered by specially trained practitioners, to small groups of young people (or individuals) aged from 11 – 18 years old. The sessions cover a wide range of issues including consent, sexual health and services, gender, sexual orientation, relationships and sexual exploitation.
Recruiting practitioners
To deliver Outside the Box, professionals need to join one of our training programmes. To be eligible for the training, practitioners need to be working with vulnerable young people, and to have access to young people with whom they can deliver sessions either remotely or in workshops over a series of sessions. The course is suitable for multi-disciplinary practitioners such as youth workers, social workers, teachers and nurses. On completion, participants will receive a certificate and the course can count towards their continuing professional development.
How are places booked for the training?
Managers will need to indicate their support and practitioners must fulfil the criteria above.
