Warm welcome for South Harringay at Pendarren

S

South Harringay School year 6 students were just as excited to visit Pendarren House in the final week of the school year as the staff at Pendarren were happy to welcome them.

Head Ian Scotchbrook says

“We managed to get the majority of our year 6 children to attend despite the challenges of COVID-19. We were the first school to visit Pendarren House since September 2019! This made the trip even more special, as all of the staff there were as excited as we were. The staff were super happy and enthusiastic to be welcoming children back after such a long and quiet period and could not have been more accommodating. This was the week of record high temperatures, so we made the most of everything outdoors and wet: canoeing, caving, river studies and a beach trip. Many thanks to all the staff who worked so hard to make this trip happen!“

Pendarren House is owned and maintained by Haringey Council and has been providing residential outdoor education courses since 1972.
