Next week is Walk to School Week! Every school should have received their classroom packs for our first bespoke Walk to School Week resource.
Please can you make a big announcement in your school, on social media and with parent mail.
Walk to School Week is a Nationwide event, dedicated to raising awareness about the benefits of simply leaving the car behind on the school run and walking to school.
We have nearly 25,000 pupils in Haringey. Just imagine all the pollution that would be created if everyone came to school by car.
Our resource focuses on our amazing borough and our fabulous landmarks
- Day 1 – reducing pollution
- Day 2 – less stressful car trips
- Day 3 – improved happiness from being active
- Day 4 – improved safety
- Day 5 – Get your adults out and active on the Weekend of Play
The packs were addressed to your school travel plan champion or head teacher.
