Haringey Learns Courses

This course is for learners who want to work in the Adult Health and Social Care sector, it is also for those who may hold qualifications in their own country but need to develop their knowledge and vocational vocabulary for the U.K. sector. It is for learners at ESOL Level 1 or above.

This course is aimed at adults who wish to develop their maths skills and take accreditation in Functional Skills maths at Level 1 or Level 2.

This course is for adults aiming to enhance their Maths skills and earn a Level 1 Functional Skills qualification. While primarily held at Haringey Learns in Wood Green Library, you may be able to occasionally join remotely (via MS Teams) only if onsite attendance is not possible.

This course can help you to develop listening and responding (or counselling skills) that you can use in helping roles, to improve professional and personal relationships and decide if you want to continue with a counselling course at level 3 and to explore counselling roles.

The purpose of this qualification is to allow learners to demonstrate understanding of and competency in digital literacy and Ms Office skills. It will help learners progress to a work role where digital literacy and Ms Office skills are required or to progress through further study.

The course is aimed at adults who wish to develop maths skills in order to take a Maths Entry Level accreditation. You will consolidate your numeracy skills and develop functional maths problem solving skills.

You will learn how to uses the popular Word, Excel and PowerPoint Packages to create sophisticated documents, budgets and animated presentations.

This course will enable you to learn the basics of Ms Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint a skill needed in Office admin work and everyday life.
